Cool for School
Cool For School is an effective, interactive performance/workshop program that brings young people into the moment of creation. In this engaging, high-energy and entertaining presentation aligned with the new NSW Music Curriculum, Australia’s leading young jazz musicians help students experience the magic of jazz as it’s being made.
There’s no teacher like experience, and at a Cool For School workshop, students will see and hear Australia’s cutting-edge jazz musicians at work, gaining an invaluable insight into composition, improvisation, ensemble work, stagecraft and the power of listening, while also learning about music as a vocation in the Australian arts and music sectors. SIMA is committed to supporting all schools across the state of NSW, and we can create an individualised program that suits your needs.
