Pianist Leonie Cohen and vocalist Nicky Crayson are two of Australia’s finest jazz musicians. Their first performance together in 2015 revealed a beautiful musical connection and a mutual ardour for jazz standards and 80s tunes, eventuating in their band “Nine To Five”. Be prepared for Gershwin, Porter, Dolly, Prince and a bunch of originals.

Born in Beirut, of Armenian heritage, Zela Margossian studied piano performance in Armenia, developing a great passion towards the Armenian ethno-jazz music that she experienced in local jazz venues. After moving to Sydney, she embarked on a new journey of nurturing this passion and has been made her mark here as a composer and artist ever since.

Margossian has garnered international attention in recent years for her kaleidoscopic original works and arrangements carrying influences from Armenian traditional music, melded with jazz and classical roots. Comprised of talented and multi-cultural musicians from Sydney, Zela Margossian Trio creates an exotic atmosphere that is sure to take you on an emotive and pleasurable journey.

Alina has written four studio albums and has performed at The Joan as part of the Live and Local: Open Fridays program. In 2023, she won the inaugural Best in the West singer-songwriter competition with her song The Man in the Painting. Louis has had extensive experience working with Blue Mountains Musical Society both on stage and within the orchestra. Both musicians have a consistent and prominent presence within the gigging scene in the Blue Mountains and greater Sydney. Driven by passion and love for the music they produce and share with others, the duo has written and recorded numerous songs together and are planning to release an album soon.
