About the Artist
Nick Garbett’s latest project ‘The Glider’ is a meditation on colour, texture and rhythm, with ambient musical landscapes and electronic flourishes reminiscent of Jon Hassell and Brian Eno’s Fourth World, all grounded in a distinctly Australian celebration of togetherness.
Through the smoke and haze of dark, rhythmically driving compositions, Garbett and saxophonist Matt Keegan’s spar masterfully over the moody, atmospheric soundscapes.
The slinky hypnotic rhythms with looping groove-laden baselines and intertwining horns feels like a soundtrack to modern film noir that never existed.
The groups ground-breaking use of live loops and trumpet played with guitar pedal effects makes for a thrilling and eye-opening musical experience. Let your imagination run free, and book your tickets today.
