Following on a highly successful season of live music streams from the New England Regional Art Gallery in Armidale, the Free Space Music series moves to the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery with a very special concert from the Sally Marett Quartet featuring acclaimed bassist Brendan Clarke on Saturday 8 August from 3pm.

Free Space is a newly curated music series that presents a diverse range of artists, playing a wide variety of music styles from jazz to classical, and set in the superb spaces of our regional art galleries.

This concert is programmed with Hume Conservatorium of Music and produced in association with SIMA (The Sydney Improvised Music association) and streamed live from the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery.

Celebrated jazz trumpeter Ash Hall has been a fixture on the local music scene, and is joined for this special duo performance by drummer Steve Harris, a fellow collaborator in cutting edge band The Neologists.

Highly regarded recorder player and soloist Dr Alan Blackburn has toured throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe and performed with The Royal Wind Music, New Dutch Academy, Salut! Baroque, The Bell Shakespeare Company, Pinchgut Opera, The Sydney Consort and The Sydneian Bach Choir.
