Band of Five Names features Simon Barker (drums), Matt McMahon (piano) and Phil Slater (trumpet), three musicians who have worked together across many years of performance, recording and creative practice. The group draws on a long shared history and a musical vocabulary developed through sustained collaboration. Their performances move between composition and improvisation, drawing on influences from their collective performing history.
