Saxophonist Sam Gill presents his quintet Scattered for their first outing of 2023! Drawing on the worlds of jazz, chamber music & folk, the band conjures evocative multi-part compositions with a large dose of improvisational freedom. Their 2020 debut album Perspectival was described by John Shand (Sydney Morning Herald) as “[slicing] through time and space to combine the freedom and complexity of now with an almost urbane salon aesthetic that could be a century old”.
