Emerging Composers Mentorship

As part of the project, the four chosen composers will be paired with a leading Australian jazz artist who will mentor them through four creative development sessions, to write a new work for a large jazz ensemble (up to ten pieces).[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1629078794635{margin-left: 0px !important;}”]

Who is eligible to apply? 

Emerging and mid-career musicians who are under 40, with the drive and inspiration to compose a new work for a large ensemble. Applicants must reside in Australia.

What you’ll need to apply?

  • Links to previous compositions
  • PDF’s of previous charts

Individual program includes

  • $1500 fee to the composer
  • $1000 fee to mentor for four sessions
  • Promote and/or present the debut performance of the composition
