Sima supports the vampires tour to germany and uk july 2015
SIMA is delighted to support the Vampires next overseas tour. Two of the Vampire musicians Nick Garbett and Jeremy Rose were part of SIMA’s inaugural Artist Development Program launched in 2012 to assist professional jazz musicians by creating more opportunities to develop their careers.
The Vampires feature award winning saxophonist/composer Jeremy Rose (2009 Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year, 2012/2013 Freedman Finalist, 2012/2013), trumpeter/composer Nick Garbett, bassist, Alex Boneham (2012 Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year and currently on scholarship at the prestigious Thelonius Monk Institute), and drummer/percussionist Alex Masso.

Hear more from The Vampires:
‘The Vampires were selected to perform at the prestigious and very competitive Jazzahead showcase event in Germany in April 2014. Following that performance we have been invited to appear at the Love Supreme Festival, and two other famous jazz festivals in the UK this July, as well making our second appearance in Berlin. We are honoured to be sharing the bill at these amazing festivals with jazz luminaries such The Bad Plus Joshua Redman, Ambrose Akinmusire, Van Morrison, Hugh Masekela and Terence Blanchard.
We are excited to be pushing Australian jazz music overseas but we need your help! This is an amazing opportunity for the band but airfares, on the road expenses and accommodation are only partially covered. As you can image this will be an expensive trip. Anything you can do to help will go a long way and will be greatly appreciated.
We are offering a number of exclusive rewards for generous contributors:
•$100 or more you will receive The Vampires catalogue (four albums) signed by the band
•$200 or more you receive the catalogue plus an exclusive live recording from the tour
•$1000 or more you receive lifetime VIP entry to any Vampires gigs in Australia
•$2000 or more you receive an exclusive concert by The Vampires at a location of your choosing”
